The party turned out great and went from a book party to a girls night in. The day turned into a day all about friendship. Could not have asked for more.

I read the book in a week! I had a hard time putting it down, even while nursing my 4 month old! My friends who have read it are loving it too. I promised to hand out the other two books at the party, so I have read them now as well!! It will be hard to pick who gets the pleasure of reading them 1st :)

My friends and I are SOOO enjoying this book! I found myself in similar situations with my best friend. Kristin is an amazing story teller and drew me in from page one! My friends and I are "passing it on" to our "best friends". I can't wait for more books from Kristin!

My friends and I are loving this book!!! Several friends have already purchased other Kristin Hannah books and are preparing to give reviews at our party on January 30th. Kristin is a gifted story teller and my heart immediately fell in love with Tully and Kate.

I love this party planning. My friends can not access the internet at work but I have had many of them say that they are excited about coming. Her stories are so real. I have read almost every one of her books and always look forward to the next one.

This book is not my usual cup of tea but I was so glad that I read it! There were so many parallels with my own life and those of my friends. Tears poured down my face for the lst two chapters.

What I love most about her books are that you can share them all over the world, and that is what I am doing everyone that I gave a book to I have asked them to sign their name to the book and the date after they get done reading it and pass it on to someone else they know who would love the book too as much as they did and keep doing that over and over until alot of people as read the book. That way everyone who has read the book is going to tell me what they thought of the book,Igave each and every 12 book out to someone I knew and they will do the same, couldn't decide if I wanted to have a party with only 12 people there or alot of them reading them,so this was the best way to do this could happen for me.Firefly Lane was a moving book that I haven't read in a long time and this book really did move alot I cried and laugh and thought about my best friend that died about 6 yrs ago, that I know that she would liked to have read the book too.So enjoy everyone like I did.All of her books are really great!

My favorite part is when Kate asks for Tully to come and live with the Malarkey’s. Many years ago, when my sister’s friend Mona’s mother left her, she came to live with our family because Lois was her best friend and she needed a home. My mother of course treated Mona, as if she was her own child.

Then, when Kate is terminal and she calls Tully to get over it and come see her! And, Tully drops everything, takes a leave of absence to be with her best friend, it reminded me of the very special bond my sister Lois has with her best friend of 40+ years Mona.

Today they are in the hospital together; my dad is terminal and going home for hospice care tomorrow. Mona took the day off as she has many times to be in the hospital, keeping Lois company while they comfort our dad . Lois, has been the primary caretaker of my father for many years, he’s 88 and the last few years have been in and out of the hospital with varies life threatening issues: heart attach, stroke, internal bleeding…. Lois has done most of the heavy lifting, and Mona has always been at her side through thick and thin. I’m the researcher, finding resources and figuring out the paperwork, and the one who wrote an article about him, for veteran’s day in the Tribune-he’s an “Army Lifer” and veteran of three foreign wars with the Bronze Star from President Johnson. And, I am the one who will write and read his eulogy at the funeral.

Firefly Lane, hits home with me on so many levels. I cried when Kate died, because it was the end of a beautiful story and the end of the book.
