How many rallies did you have?

Conversation started by amystone31

I have now held three rallies - one at the local grocery store, one at church and one at our playgroup.  I got food from patrons at the store, handed out the coupons at our playgroup (which I saved for that one since most of those families are low income ones and I felt that they could do their part by simply buying the food items with the coupons, and raised money for a local food bank at our church.  It is so nice to see that each part of the community that I belong to can do their own unique part to fight against families being hungry!!

Survey

Conversation started by mjpitts

I'm trying to complete my post-party survey, but I can't find the survey page.  Any ideas?  Our party was a week later than the one originally scheduled, and we are going to be collected food with our Scout den too!  Thanks for the great ideas!

I held up my end of the bargain, and had a huge family style party at a local park.  75 guests in attendance, we did a lot of good.  Collected 272 food items for Feeding America, and cash donations (still coming in).

I did my part, but was totally embarrased when my family went to use our free coupons at the grocery tonight... DECLINED, each and every one of them, because CONAGRA hadn't reimbursed the store for previous coupons just like these.  1/2 hour of our time picking our coupon items, and a few other groceries, only to look like a thief when I got to the cash register.

Hubby has said, NO MORE CONAGRA as a result, and now doesn't even want me to do a house party.  The kids were embarrased, my husband and I left empty handed...  ConAgra, what gives????

Confused

Conversation started by Galinda

I can't see a way to enter a number of guests, if I don't have everyone's name. Where this was more of an event than a party in my home, and where it was for charity, we invited a whole church and had signs up in our community. It was a very sucsessful party, but it looks like I had 0 guest when I really had about 50!

Collected food for local family!

Conversation started by terrils7

We had a great party. One of the things we decided to do was NOT to eat at the party. Everyone brought cans of food which went to a family that our local grocery store collects food for. The manager was really excited because generally they have people buy brown pre-packed bags and it is often plain and, well, sturdy food. She was thrilled to be sending them things we took out of our cupboards. I also included the free coupons in their loot.

We talked about ways to help our neighbors and friends who are now struggling, people who have never struggled before. It was an interesting time. Everyone loved their bags!

Another Party!

Conversation started by tsplace01

We are hosting another party this Sunday afternoon at our church and the focus is Child Hunger Ends Here!  Everyone is bringing in Congra food products that they have been buying this past 2 weeks and all that food will head to our local food bank!  We are going to have a local food bank representative at this party as we had our party at the house.  It's so good to be able to spread the word and people are so willing to help others - there is good in everyone!!!!

Loved this party!!

Conversation started by lyndalou

Loved raising awareness & we collected about 20 grocery bags full of food.  Actually it was probably 23-25 becasue 2 people gave me money to buy more.  I took the money & bought toiletries such as deorderant, toilet paper, toothpaste, etc.  We plan on making this an annual event.

Thank you for the great opportunity!

Still collecting food . . . .

Conversation started by MadamHawk

Some of my guests are still collecting food for the local food bank.  At least once a week I will have a co-worker bring in non-perishables.

Several have told about using the coupons and how much they appreciate Con-Agra's efforts to make more people aware.

I thank HouseParty for selecting me as a host and Con-Agra for everything they did to make my event a sucess.

Turned out GREAT!!!!!!

Conversation started by sissyving

We were able to pull off a fantastic party! We collected about 65 cans of food to date (more is on the way). The party timing was perfect because a local tv station is sponsoring a food drive for our local food bank! We also collected childrens clothes and toiletries to donate to the shelter. We were able to educate our guests about a subject most folks don't give too much thought to, unless it is the holiday season. Guests were also interested in having their own rallies. Great party! I would love to have another rally soon!

A fun time for all at the party!

Conversation started by jpmom330

Oh my gosh! I am so pumped!  We had a great time and we have so many plans for fundraisers to make money to donate to our local food banks!  My guests were so happy that the items that they already purchase make a difference in the fight against child hunger and they loved the coupons too!  I can't wait until this summer when we start our rallies!

Party pushed back a week :-(

Conversation started by amystone31

Had to push my party back a week due to lots of sick kiddos with mamas that can't come - everyone want to be well for Easter.  That's ok - we can't wait to do it next week!!  Should be beautiful weather and everyone will be happy and giving I am sure!  Plus it gives us now more time to spread the word and get more donations!

bunko ladies to end child hunger

Conversation started by dbasgil

We had a great time, there was 26 of us gathered to play bunko.  We took time to discuss the child hunger problem in america and how conagra was going to help!  We discussed different ways we could have neighborhood rallies and incorporate it into our community yard sales coming up.  What a worthy cause and all were excited about using the coupons

Smash hit party

Conversation started by selviramanan

The party was a huge success. The food was good. This was a great way for friends/family  to come together. We played few games and the prizes were the products featured on the host's coupons. I have collected food for the local food pantry . Few of my guests registered with FeedAmerica the same day and few made donations.

Thank you ConAgra and house party  for allowing us to be a part of this event.

Helping Out

Conversation started by sandymc

A great time was had by all who came to the party.  Everyone was more than willing to bring food to the party so that we could take to our local assistant ministry in the area.  It was thrilling to see how everyone was involved in trying to feed the children, seems like sometimes the smallest are the ones we need to help the most.  The coupons and bags were so appreciated by all, the suggestion was that the coupons for the dry goods be used to purchase more for the pantry.  Thanks for coming up with this great idea.  One of the things we did as a game was try to come up with the celebrity names of those who are helping with child hunger.  That was fun.

We will meet with the 3 neighborhood churches this week to work with them to have fundraisers - garage sale, cook out, and donations are the plans. We have one definite yard sale coming up. the proceeds will be going to the local food pantry. We are on a roll.

Partied early

Conversation started by skygaz28

A dear friend scheduled surgery to be in the hospital on the 28th, so the party was moved up to the 19th.  The party pack arrived early, and I had many of the Conagra products in my house already.  I love to cook so we had a mix of Healthy Choice, Marie Callendar's, and homemade food.  We had a good turnout of 21, and everyone brought a small amount of canned goods for our local charity, Waterfront Mission.  We raffled off the T-shirt, and used the proceeds to buy $12.73 (I know, a wierd amount) worth of additional groceries for the mission.

I read another host had to revise plans.  Sometimes life gives you lemons and you make lemonade.

My friend got out of the hospital today.  So all is well that ends well.
